International MA Classes

Working as and training for a mutidisciplinary and multilingual environment, the Master programme creates and implements different modes and set-ups for learning (be prepared to anything!), allowing the individual multi-LEARNer to develop into the multilingually aware, multiculturally competent and methodologically experienced academic, expert and professional s/he wants to become.

Besides the semantic set-up of the Master and the developmental design of the programme as implemented in Luxembourg, researchers, students and partners set-up international MA classes three times per academic year - accordign to the profiles of the multi-LEARNers, their interests and topics arising from the ongoing work within the Master course.

International MA classes are always held in cooperation with a partner MA programme and partner research-groups, working in any field of joint interest and being located in the three linguistic areas relevant to the Master programme. Students and researchers not only exchange about methodological progress made but engage in joint learning activities related to the scientific, professional and international academic development of the students. The international MA classes provide a unique occasion for exploring science in the making in and thorugh the three scientific languages concerned – English, German, French – when exploiting and developing at the same time a functional and functioning multilingual scientific mode for research and work.

International MA classes are developed in close cooperation with the DICA-lab / DICA-media based post-graduate seminar series on “Learning, Interaction & Development”. A PhD-Symposium is always held prior to an international MA class. Participation to the PhD-Symposia is open to any scholar interested, please contact the scientific director by sending in a tentative title of your contribution and a brief sketch of your profile.
